Jump To It!

New to cardio? Need something new? Don't have much time ? No worries! Here's a quick JUMP ROPE cardio session to throw in whenever you have about 10 minutes.

If you're just starting out:
Jump for 30 seconds
Rest for 30 seconds

As jumping gets easier:
Jump for 45 seconds
Rest for 15 seconds

Ramp it up:
Jump for 1 minute
Rest for 10 seconds

A few extra ideas to make it a better workout:
1- Do single-leg jumps (switch back and forth between left and right foot)
2-Jump on right foot 5 times, then left foot 5 times...increase the number of individual foot jumps
3- Do high-knees...do single leg jumps and bring knee up to your chest

Yes, this workout requires "equipment" but a rope is about $10 and you can bring it just about anywhere including vacation so there's NO EXCUSES!!!
